     The American School of Tampico was founded in 1917 by Americans who came to the region with the oil companies at the beginning of last century. We are located on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, 500 km south of the border with the United States serving a population of approximately 1,000 students, mainly from local families. The school is licensed by the Mexican Ministry of Education and accredited through AdvancED.

     It is with great satisfaction that we have opened our High School program with the class of 2010. The facilities that were specially designed to match the curriculum are modern and practical containing the most sophisticated equipment for laboratories and classroom.
