Facebook Language Institute Twitter Language Institute

Our SALC is a unique educational resource in Tampico.

Opened in 1998, the SALC allows students and members of the community to study by themselves at their own pace and level.

After attending an orientation session on how to use the SALC resources, the students can start working in the center with the help from our staff, which includes some teachers in the roles of counselors and a team of junior counselors chosen from our student population.

Counselors

Some teachers spend certain amount of time in the SALC. During this time the teachers act as counselors helping students in many ways: they make suggestions on materials and strategies, guide students with instructions and facilitate their speaking activities.

JUNIOR COUNSELORS

Junior counselors are students from our own program who work with us in the SALC. In return, they receive a partial scholarship and have the opportunity to practice the language they are studying.

  • Submit a cover letter in English explaining the reasons for applying for the position.
  • Submit a CV
