Discovering Enrichment Sessions.

Math, math…

At enrichment session I went to math class. It was really fun because we also play while we learn. We learn what we don´t understand. We review and in that time Ms. Betty explain us what we don´t undestand. We learn about perimeter, area, circumference. I dont like that I had math then recess and then enrichment that is math. I like math but I don´t like to have double period of it. I like to be with Ms. Betty because she is a good teacher and explain very good. I really like this class but just for a time not forever. This class really help me understand better the things and to review what I have learned in the week. It was fun to be in enrichment with Ms. Betty I really had a good learning time.

I like math because I learn a lot about figures, volume, area, circumference, and perimeter. What I don´t like was that we have double period of math and together. I didn´t understand some things in class, so I had time to ask her. That was a really cool thing. I don´t like the subject because it is really difficult and you need to learn the rules, think a lot and it´s kind of boring. The most easiest thing in math is the distributive property.

Eliane Lavin, 6th Grade

In this enrichment class we had a lot of fun because we learned a lot of things like percentages problems of many kinds I was with some friends and we did problems and learned. We did quotes and read them and thought what the meaning was and reflected. We learned things like that too. We had a great time with Ms. Betty because she helped us. She refers herself as a coach, because she motivates interests in your learners.  I shared time  with Jose, Enrique, and other students. I liked it, I would like to stay.

Fabian, 6th Grade

My experience in this math sesion were experimentating math problems, sayings and a lot of fun. We ere out of the clasroom recently because we were so nice at math that we were otorgated to go out. We learn a little bit more than the classes we have regular because the problems get to us in a milisecond so we resolve tones. We learn different tricks and strategies. This was not my favorite enrichment sesion, but it was not loosing time because I practice.

YOGA during Enrichment in Middle School

By: José Manuel Ruiz 8th Grade

During Enrichment Session, I practice yoga in Ms. Claudia Coronado’s class and I always learn something new. I have been there for over four to five months, and I like it so much that I rarely think that I should try something else. The reason why I like yoga so much is because it relaxes my body and releases all the pressure off my mind. It’s a way of finding peace and be completely inside ourselves. I also like the stretches that we do because it gives us more flexibility and gives our muscles more capability to move. I enjoy the posture exercises, but sometimes they are difficult to maintain resistance. Still, you get used to it and after some classes you really get to enjoy it.

Yoga is a relief for anything that is affecting you or making you have bad days. Another cool thing of yoga is that it is the only class that you don’t need to think, instead, it’s the other way around; you end the class having your head completely empty as if nothing could disturb you for the rest of the day. Yoga is my reason for liking Thursdays because it is a class where the only thing you learn is to be happy with yourself by being completely yourself.

In conclusion, yoga is a good management of time, where you experiment new things and take care of your body to make you feel confident and peaceful. Yoga supports you to think optimistic and helps knowing your body better, that’s why it is something very benefitial.

Instrumentos Músicales. Una clase con energía.

Hola:

This is a great class for any of those who have musical interest. You will find that in this class you can harvest your creativity and express it in one of the most beautiful forms on this earth: music. Not only that, but the class is rather enjoyable in its self. You’ll be able to play many different kinds of instruments and create tunes wouldn’t imagine. I recommend entering this Enrichment Session, and hope you enjoy it, as it’s simply superb.
