be given your teams of four or five members. |

You are going to work on one
of the following buildings (distributed by the teacher):

 |

Read carefully the tasks
assigned for each Role. |

As a group, decide which role
each member will take,
based on his/her preferences and interests. Be careful on
your selection. |

internet resources provided for
your project. |

Ask any necessary questions to
your teachers. |

Homework: Work on your own role exploring the

create your Source Document.
You should bring your file on a disk for next

Day 2 - Save Source Doc. - Hwk. Formulas |
 | Continue exploring the sources to finish your Source
Document, organize your document
with headings, text and graphics
so the teacher can understand your findings. |

Make sure you include
all the appropriate references. |
 |
Save your Source Document on
the team folder and on your disk, use the role name as the
file name. |
For
Homework: Print your Source Document to work
with it at school. Calculate the surface area and
volume of the building and bring it to school next class. You
can use the
Geometric Formulas page. |

Day 3 - Fill formulas - Hwk: Budget & Scale
Model |

Share and discuss with your team your
solutions for the surface area and volume of the building. |
 |
Fill out the
Formulas page
and give a copy to the teacher. |
 |
Calculate how much material you will need to use on
your building. Use the
Budget page to find out how much. |
 |
Decide which hardware
stores
you will visit to investigate the prices for the material needed. |
For
Homework:
Based on how much material you will need, visit three different
hardware stores to find out who will give you the best prices.
You should bring the three lists of prices to school. Start working
on the Scale Model.

Day 4 - Budget - Hwk. Scale Model |
 |
Share with your
team the prices and create the three budgets in a MS Excel workbook
using three worksheets. |
 |
Create the Pie Chart for the prices you are going
to use (another worksheet). |
 |
Calculate the timeline and create the chart for
the construction of the building (another worksheet). |
 |
Save the
Budget file
on the team folder. |
For
Homework: Continue working
on the Scale Model (due for next
class).

Day 5 - Pictures of Scale Model - Hwk.
Power Point |
 |
Bring your Scale Model
to take the pictures for the presentation. |
 |
The Power point editor will
discuss and write the introduction and conclusion of the
Presentation
with the rest of the group. |

The Power Point file will be
saved on the team folder by the editor. |
 |
Start working on your Power
Point individual part. |
For Homework:
Continue working on your Power Point
