Day 1 - Set up teams - Hwk. Source Doc.

You will be given your teams of four or five members.

Read carefully the tasks assigned for each Role.

As a group, decide which role each member will take, based on his/her preferences and interests.  Be careful on your selection.

Explore the internet resources provided for your project.

bullet

Ask any necessary questions to your teachers.

bullet

Hand in the completed Team Page.

For Homework: Work on your own role exploring the Resources  given and start working on your specific role's recommendations. You should bring them on a disk for next class.

 

 

Day 2 - Save recommendations - Hwk. Act 1

Choose scene for Act 1.

bullet

Start filling out the Scenes Page and give it to your teacher.

bullet

Decide whether the Act 1 scene will be done at home or school.

bullet

Finish your specific role's recommendations about setting up a Shakespearean play and save the file on the team folder for the editor.

For Homework:

Prepare everything you need to do Act 1 (costumes, backdrop, props, etc.).

If the pictures are going to be taken at school,  you should bring the necessary items for next class.  If you are going to take the pictures at home, just bring the pictures' file(s).

You should write your work on a MS Word document and bring that file on a disk to share it with the Survival Guide editor.

bullet

Linguist: Decide which lines will be selected for Act 1 and reword the passage for the Survival Guide.

bullet

Acting Coach: Prepare the direction of the Act 1 scene tableaux and write your notes about blocking and positioning.

bullet

Set Designer: Prepare the Act 1 backdrop for the picture and write the paragraph with your set suggestions.

bullet

Costume Designer: Co-ordinate the use of costumes for the Act 1 picture and describe your recomendations in a paragraph.

Producer: Research and write about Shakespeare's Life.

bullet

Publisher Editor: Prepare the MS Publisher file with the necessary pages.  Edit from pages 1 to 5 or 7 with the recommendations given by your team.

 

 

Day 3 - Act 1 completed - Hwk. Act 2

Share your files with the Survival Guide Editor.

Continue filling out the Scenes Page and give it to your teacher.

Acting Coach: Direct the tableau of the scene.

Set Designer: Prepare the backdrop for the picture.

Costume Designer: Co-ordinate the use of costumes.

Producer / Publisher Editor: Use the team files and pictures to edit Act 1 pages.

Day 7 - Fill Checklist - Print your file

Get together with your group to proofread the final, complete version of the Survival Guide.

Make sure you include the references in the appropiate format.

bullet

Make sure you meet all the requirements listed on the Checklist.

bullet

Save the file on the team folder.

bullet

Print your file for the Language Arts teacher.

 

Day 8 - Fill in Peer Evaluations
