Your final product will consist of the following items:

Individual Report

This will be the result of your 3 topic investigation.  It will be an MS Word document from 3 to 5 pages in length following the MLA format where you will rewrite your findings. and it should be .  You will print this on your own for revision.

Timeline Handout

To do this handout you should use the TimeLiner software You should cover 12 to 15 items based on his life and works. It will be 1 page in length and will be printed in Technology class.  Make 1 copy for each of your classmates.  These copies will be handed out during your presentation.

Synopsis Handout

This will be an MS Word document that should include the summary of your investigations.  Name, and a photo of the author, should be prominent and easy to read.  It will be 1 page in length and will be printed in Technology class. Make a copy for each of your classmates.  These copies will be handed out during your presentation.

Documentary presentation

This documentary will be a MS Power Point presentation and it must include:

MLA format for Reports

Paper:
bullet

Use white letter sized paper (81/2 by 11 inch).

bullet

Margins:
bullet

One-inch margins all around the text of your paper -- left side, right side, and top and bottom.

bullet

Paragraphs should be indented half an inch.

bullet

All paragraphs should be justified.

bullet

Spacing:
bullet

All the work must be double-spaced.

bullet

Heading and Title:
bullet

Your research paper does not need a title page.

bullet

At the top of the first page, at the left-hand margin, type your name, your teacher's name (Mr. Dennis Spencer), the subject name (Language Arts), and the date -- all on separate, double-spaced lines.

Then double-space again and center the title above your text.

bullet

Double-space again before beginning your text.

bullet

The title should be neither underlined nor written in all capital letters.

bullet

Capitalize only the first, last, and principal words of the title.

bullet

Titles might end with a question mark or an exclamation mark if that is appropriate, but not in a period.

Page Numbers:
bullet

Number your pages consecutively (including the first page) in the upper right-hand corner of each page, one-half inch from the top.

bullet

Type your last name before the page number.

bullet

Use Header and Footer for this.

bullet

Make sure the page-number is always an inch from the right-hand edge of the paper (flush with the right-hand margin of your text) and that there is a double-space between the page number and the top line of text.

Do not use the abbreviation p. or any other mark before the page number.

bullet
