The American School of Tampico Language Institute is a co-educational, non-profit, nonsectarian institution governed by a local board of trustees and directors, which establishes polices.

The goal at the American School Language Institute is to provide its students with quality language instruction that will prepare them for successfull multilingual communication. The Institute recognizes that it has not only the opportunity, but also the responsibility to each the foreign language that will prepare its students for better life as an individual and as a professional. In doing this, the Institute also raises cultural understanding in its students, which in turn enhances their contribution to our community.

The Institute recognizes that in order to achieve the goals, its staff must be made up of capable, well-prepared, and highly motivated personnel, working in the best environment possible. The institute programs required by the different languages taught must be enriched with constant adjustment in order to implement the most efficient instructional system in a multilingual classroom.
