Mission

At The American School of Tampico (ATS), our current OKRs Caring and Accountable Community are essential as they reflect our commitment to the holistic development of students and the creation of an environment where everyone feels valued and responsible for their actions. Here’s an explanation of each point and why they are crucial for us as a school:
Caring
Caring focuses on building a community where kindness and empathy are at the core of our relationships. At ATS, caring means being mindful of the needs and emotions of others, offering support and understanding when needed. Fostering a culture of empathy helps students develop critical social-emotional skills, such as compassion and solidarity, allowing them to form meaningful human connections both within and beyond the school.
Accountable
Accountability at ATS means that every community member is committed to their actions and decisions, knowing that they affect others. We promote a culture of transparency and personal responsibility, where both students and adults understand that every action has consequences. Accountability not only strengthens character but is also crucial for developing individuals who are ethical and have integrity.
Community
Community is the heart of ATS. We strive to create an inclusive environment where all members—from students to staff and parents—feel that they belong. We encourage collaboration, active participation, and mutual support, ensuring that everyone feels like an integral part of the school.
